HELP DETERMINE IF IT’S TIME FOR ASSISTED LIVING
The Katz Index of Independence in Activities of Daily Living (Katz ADL) is a listing of basic tasks that individuals should be able to do without assistance to remain living independently. Everyday activities such as using the bathroom, getting dressed, and brushing your teeth and hair and are part of the list. Next to this list of daily activities is a chart indicating if the activity can be performed without help (independent) or with help and supervision (dependent). Based on the responses, caregivers can better assess their loved ones needs. See below the Katz ADL resource!
